Hi again! My name is Sarah.
I'm a sophomore studying Cognitive Psychology and Information Sciences with a minor in Art & Design at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Why UX?
I've always been interested in understanding how humans think, feel, and learn—and what excites me is the immense power that technology holds to influence these things. Coupled with my lifelong passion for art, I found that UI/UX design is the perfect way to channel my creativity into innovations that make people stress less and smile more.
I love the inherent challenge of designing for people, and nothing is more rewarding than solving a problem and seeing the positive impact on others' experiences. As I continue to explore the intersections of psychology, technology, and art, I want to create meaningful solutions for people that not only look aesthetically pleasing but feel pleasing to use.
What else do you like to do?
Outside of my professional pursuits, I enjoy reading, collecting little trinkets, and crocheting! I'm a big fan of cats 🐱, butterflies 🦋, and pretty flowers 🌷... you'll see half my sketchbook littered with them. I'm also an avid music enjoyer and always on the hunt for new songs and artists.
